Eleanor Herbosch manipulates a variety of materials to create textural works of art

Born in London in 1999, Eleanor Herbosch is a multidisciplinary artist who resides and works in Antwerp, Belgium. At just 20 years old, Eleanor founded her practice in the back of her garden in Antwerp in 2019, whilst still studying Ceramic Design at the University of the Arts in London.

Her works include textural works of art, using a variety of materials that create depth and evoque emotions. Texture is the principal element in Eleanor’s studio practice and a signature aspect of her works.

Her material of choice is earth, coming from her own backyard, which is the common denominator that unites her ceramic works and paintings. On her constant artistic quest for an impromptu collaboration between materiality and harmony, she intends to express the potential of natural materials with the intent of enhancing their intrinsic qualities.
