Sussurro is a design-led boutique hotel, seated on the shore of a turquoise-coloured lagoon in Southern Mozambique. Committed to creating a more meaningful experience, the charming hotel offers thoughtfully designed spaces to align with nature and getting a more conscious African experience. Based on the belief that craft serves as an essential link between humanity and nature, Sussurro seeks to maintain this connection for our collective development with the natural world. Sussurro’s ode to African culture and travel is visible in every detail of the hotel: the rooms and spaces are dressed with furniture created and handcrafted on-site, along with a selection of thoughtfully artisanal pieces from local sub-saharan Africa. 

The hotel aims to engage with land and community with a tender and intuitive touch, slowing down enough to appreciate the reciprocal nourishment they offer each other. They take accountability and responsibility in sharing Sussurro in a way that is non-intrusive to Mozambique’s community and natural environment, by honouring an invaluable ecosystem and supporting only-sustainable artisanal fishing and farming, offering fresh, plant-rich dishes to guests.
