A former detached coach house of a 19th-century manor, L’Officine now serves as a boutique guesthouse in the Belgian countryside surrounded by nature. Bringing together food, design, slow living and authenticity in a 70m2 multifunctional and inspirational space, the purpose of the guesthouse is to escape the daily rhythm in a serene space with a strong focus on craftsmanship and disciplined minimalism. A place to gather, to ground and to enjoy an atmosphere that encourages rest, relaxation, rootedness and connection.

L’Officine’s philosophy is founded upon a belief that a well-designed atmosphere has the potential to evoke positive emotions. Honest materials that are selected based on their quality, texture, local origin and authenticity are present through the entire space and awaken a feeling of warmth, comfort and coming home.

The creators of the guesthouse, designer/art director Jessy Van Durme and photographer Piet-Albert Goethals, strongly believe that luxury lies in the little and simple things. This universal language of simplicity and authenticity also expresses itself in their artful magazine AKT. To share L’Officine’s philosophy of honest materials, positive emotions and disciplined minimalism, the boutique guesthouse created a collection of ceramics and home textiles, which are available through their website.
