Situated in the vibrant heart of Antwerp, the Magazyn space is a manifestation of German-born designer Thomas Haarmann’s aesthetic perspective. An ode to process and evolution, where he brings life to his point of view while also placing it in context.

Haarmann is known for his acute sensibility and boundless creative vision, which spans several art forms. His skills lie in creating layered, multifaceted works that blend various expressions and influences, applying a vocabulary influenced by his earlier nomadic lifestyle. Haarmann’s furniture and art pieces embody a sense of informal sophistication. They whisper rather than shout. With his signature selection of materials, he develops a distinct kind of subdued opulence, always elegant and never cold.

Each of his projects demonstrate his signature expression, while simultaneously echoing the vision and personality of his client. The result of this leaves a colossal impact on the entire ambiance of a space in its entirety, down the the very last detail.

In the intimate and quietly sober Magazyn space, tactility is placed centre stage. The immersive Antwerp location showcases designs from Haarmann’s own collection combined with selected pieces of other artisans and designers, creating a purposeful and deliberate entity while blending diverse elements.
