Exploring the tastes, flavors and musical expressions of the Yucatán Peninsula at Tulum Treehouse
Set at the edge of the jungle on Tulum’s beach road, Tulum Treehouse is a five-bedroom guesthouse and destination restaurant that explores the tastes, flavors and musical expressions of the Yucatán peninsula. The Treehouse is a collective effort of a diverse group of local artisans, builders, craftspeople and international designers.
The guesthouse was designed by CO-LAB Design Office, a full service architecture studio in Tulum, in collaboration with interior designer Annabell Kutucu. While coming from very different backgrounds, the designers were united in their commitment to using local, organic and sustainable materials whenever possible toward the creation of the uniquely beautiful and welcoming collaborative space.
Tulum Treehouse began as a home, when Tulum was not known and discovered yet as it has been today. As Tulum evolved, so did the Treehouse: the space was turned into a guesthouse with 5 bedrooms and a coffee shop, jungle bar, a cultural program and an open-air kitchen. The guesthouse is a safe haven where one can escape Tulum’s vibrant and hectic atmosphere, immersing themselves in the textures, tastes, traditions and aromas of the Yucatán Peninsula.
